PrivacyNotes is an end-to-end encrypted notes, tasks, and journal application developed and published by Lifetime Labs LLC. The software is designed for users who want private record-keeping without conventional account infrastructure: a 12-word BIP-39 phrase serves as both the user's identity and encryption key, eliminating the need for an email address, password, or account that could be leaked. Notes, journal entries, tasks, a password vault, and file attachments are encrypted on the user's device using XChaCha20-Poly1305 before synchronization, while the server stores only ciphertext and a nonce. This design positions the software in the secure productivity and personal information management category, suitable for everyday note-taking, task tracking, journaling, credential storage, and confidential document handling.
